Aging happens in layers. Over time the skin’s structural proteins — collagen and elastin — deplete, which leads to laxity, thinning, and lines that linger at rest.
At the same time, the deep fat pads that give the face its youthful contour shrink and shift downward, creating hollows under the eyes and a loss of jawline definition. Topical products alone can’t rebuild that lost three-dimensional structure.
Expression lines, volume loss and surface texture call for different approaches. Botox or Dysport may soften selected muscle-related lines; filler adds volume; Sculptra, Radiesse and device treatments have their own uses and recovery. Your assessment determines which, if any, fits your concern.
