The award-winning HydraFacial system merges invigorating spa therapies with advanced medical technology to enhance skin health.

It is the only hydradermabrasion device that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection in one treatment, resulting in clearer, more beautiful skin with little-to-no downtime.

The HydraFacial treatment is famous for its versatility, consistent results, and customizability. What's more, the treatment utilizes painless suction to remove debris from pores as opposed to manual extractions which can be painful.

At Ellemes Medical Spa, expect to be in the treatment for 60 minutes. Treatment lengths may vary at other medical spas in Atlanta, but 45 to 60 minutes is the typical treatment length for optimal results.

After the treatment is finished, there is no down time, so you can return to your normal activities immediately afterwards!

You will see results in as little as one treatment; however, as with every skin treatment, maintenance is key to long lasting results.

Continued treatments are recommended to maintain skin health. One treatment per month is recommended for optimal results.

  • For men, shaving is not recommended on the day of treatment. If you choose to shave,
please shave at least 3-4 hours prior to your treatment.

2. Does a HydraFacial remove blackheads?

Yes, its spiral tip spins and draws out blackheads and other impurities from the skin.

3. Is this treatment good for my skin?

HydraFacial uses a unique combination of proven anti-ageing methods which when combined deliver instant, visible improvements whilst also deeply infusing the skin with anti-ageing ingredients which promote skin health giving lasting results.

4. Am I a candidate for this treatment?

More likely than not, yes. The HydraFacial is designed for all ages, skin colors and types. Even the most sensitive skin can tolerate this procedure. At Ellemes Medical Spa, we may choose specific treatment serums and/or customize the treatment for your personal skin conditions and needs.

5. What results may be expected? How many treatments are needed to see results? How long do the results last?

Many clients report seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. We don’t believe in quick fixes, so one treatment per month is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, oily and congested skin. Continued HydraFacial treatments are highly recommended to maintain skin health results.

6. What are the Benefits of HydraFacial

HydraFacial offers individuals numerous benefits that can provide comprehensive skin rejuvenation. The potential advantages of this treatment include:

  • Reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines
  • Reduction in clogged and enlarged pores
  • Improvement of oily skin
  • Improvement of hyperpigmentation and brown spots
  • Improvement of areas affected by acne and pimples
  • Reduction in signs of sun damage
  • Smoother skin and a more even tone
  • The treatment itself is designed to be refreshing and soothing
  • No recovery or downtime is required
  • Results can often be seen very shortly after treatment

The HydraFacial treatment can also be combined with other advanced skin care options or certain laser skin resurfacing techniques for enhanced results. HydraFacial can also be utilized on patients of virtually every skin type. While the treatment is often performed for facial rejuvenation, the neck, décolletage, and other areas of the body can be treated, as well. Once you meet with our aesthetics team and have a complimentary skin evaluation, we can determine whether HydraFacial is the best option for your needs and goals.

7. Does a HydraFacial Hurt?

This treatment is designed to work its magic while providing a relaxing treatment experience. In fact, some patients have compared this procedure to a light massage.

8. How much does a HydraFacial cost?

HydraFacial is often considered one of the more affordable non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatments available. One HydraFacial treatment session typically falls in the $150 to $300 range. With that in mind, the cost varies between individual patients based on the custom-designed HydraFacial treatment plan, taking into account factors such as: additional “boosters” to the treatment serum that are utilized; whether the HydraFacial is combined with complementary procedures; and other components.

9. What Happens During the Recovery Process?

One of the many benefits of this procedure is the fact that most patients need absolutely no recovery time and are able to resume normal daily routines immediately. The skin may feel a bit tight after the procedure, and some mild redness may be present, but these effects should quickly dissipate.

10. Other than the face, where else can a HydraFacial treatment be performed?

HydraFacial treatments can benefit the face & neck, decollete, hands and arms. Many men and sports enthusiasts also appreciate the HydraFacial for congestion and/or acne on the back – “Back-ne”.

11. Hydrafacial or Microdermabrasion, which one is better?

They both treat fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, hyper-pigmentation and trigger collagen building in the skin. Each is a procedure that is intended to resurface the skin, so that dead skin cells are eliminated to expose healthy skin. But hydrafacial seems to be your best bet when it comes to addressing your skin problems with the least discomfort and downtime.

Hydrafacial is able to treat a multitude of skin concerns at once, like wrinkles, sagging, congested pores, hyperpigmentation, dead skin cells and dry skin. It involves a multi-step treatment process, which cleanses and exfoliates the skin, while extracting to eliminate impurities and dead skin cells. It simultaneously replenishes the skin with essential nutrients that include hyaluronic acid, Antioxidants and peptides. It also delivers the beneficial properties of an elevated chemical peel in a series of specific steps for smooth healthy skin.

The procedure also involves removing any excess of oil that has accumulated in the pores and hydrating the skin with antioxidants. It helps to repair environmental damage, minimize fine lines and wrinkles and give the skin more volume and firmness.

So why is hydrafacial better than microdermabrasion? It is more lenient on the skin during the exfoliation process. The shedding of dead skin cells is gentler and much more pleasant than microdermabrasion.

Microdermabrasion can feel abrasive and result in reddened irritated skin post treatment. Some patients have even noticed more acne and the appearance of blotchy skin after microdermabrasion.

Hydrafacial is the best solution for plump and firm skin with less downtime and long-term results you can see and feel instantly. If you want skin that is smoother, with unclogged pores and less lines and wrinkles with lasting effects, contact us today. We’ll take years off your aging skin and have you looking your best.

12. Who Should Not Get This Procedure and Why?

The HydraFacial is appropriate for all skin tones, according to the company. But you should avoid getting this treatment if you have an active rash, sunburn, or rosacea.
