Laser treatment for rosacea redness at ELLEMES Medical Spa

How it works

What causes rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic, inflammatory condition — overactive blood vessels, persistent flushing, and a weakened skin barrier. Harsh scrubs and aggressive exfoliants tend to make it worse, not better.

To clear the redness, we close the broken capillaries beneath the surface. Targeted light therapy like BBL safely heats and collapses the damaged vessels, and your body reabsorbs them.

By clearing the damaged vessels and pairing it with calming, barrier-repairing skincare to rebuild your skin’s defenses, we reduce flare-ups and bring back a cooler, calmer, more even complexion.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Can rosacea be cured?
Rosacea is a chronic, vascular condition, so it can’t be permanently cured — but it can be well managed. By using lasers to clear the broken blood vessels and medical-grade skincare to repair the skin barrier, we can significantly reduce flares and keep your skin consistently calmer.
How does BBL clear redness?
BBL (BroadBand Light) delivers light that’s absorbed by the hemoglobin in your blood vessels. The heat collapses the weak, broken vessel walls, and your body naturally reabsorbs them — removing the redness from the skin’s surface.
Are vascular treatments painful?
Most patients find them very tolerable — often described as a quick, warm rubber-band snap. Because rosacea skin is sensitive, we use sapphire cooling tips to keep the skin cool and comfortable throughout.
How many sessions will I need?
For initial clearing of redness and broken capillaries, we usually recommend a series of 3 to 5 BBL sessions a few weeks apart. Once cleared, 1–2 maintenance sessions a year keep it in check.
What triggers a rosacea flare?
Common triggers include sun exposure, extreme heat or cold, spicy food, alcohol (especially red wine), and stress. Daily medical-grade SPF is the single most important step to prevent flares and protect your results.
