Skin Redness
Treatments
Vascular phototherapy and barrier-repair protocols that target chronic flushing, broken capillaries, and post-acne red marks (PIE). Treatments collapse damaged vessels and restore an even skin tone.
How Redness Treatment Works
Skin redness typically stems from two root causes: structural vascular dilation (rosacea, broken capillaries) and surface inflammation (Post-Inflammatory Erythema left over from healed acne).
Treating structural redness requires closing the damaged pathways. Targeted light therapy (BBL) heats and coagulates broken blood vessels beneath the skin, forcing the body to reabsorb them and clearing visible red webs from the surface.
For inflammatory redness and PIE, we focus on rebuilding the skin's defensive barrier using tailored chemical exfoliants and deep hydration. By treating both the vessels and the barrier, we reduce flare-ups and restore a consistent, even tone.
Clinical Pathways
Facial redness presents differently in every patient. We map your vascular network and build a clearance regimen based on the underlying cause.
BBL® Hero
BroadBand Light targets hemoglobin inside broken capillaries, safely collapsing them to reduce chronic facial flushing and visible spider veins. Considered the gold standard for vascular redness.
Laser Facial
A customizable, zero-downtime light therapy session that constricts widespread diffuse redness across the face and fades the red marks (PIE) left behind by old breakouts.
Chemical Peels
Medical-grade chemical peels accelerate cellular turnover to fade red marks left by old breakouts (Post-Inflammatory Erythema) and even out skin tone.
Custom Calming Facial
A clinical facial focused on cooling and deep hydration. Avoids aggressive heat or harsh scrubs—uses soothing masks and barrier-repair serums to calm a compromised, reactive skin barrier.
Salmon DNA Protocol
An anti-inflammatory regenerative protocol. Polynucleotides (PDRN) derived from Salmon DNA are infused into the skin to accelerate cellular repair and reduce reactivity.
Medical Skincare
Daily home care is essential for managing chronic redness. Medical-grade systems (like ZO Skin Health Rozatrol) suppress flushing and strengthen the skin's barrier over time.

Questions
What to know before booking a skin redness treatment at ELLEMES.
It depends on the cause. Broken capillaries and sun-induced redness can be destroyed permanently. However, genetic flushing (like rosacea) is a chronic vascular condition that requires ongoing management and maintenance sessions.
PIE refers to the flat, pink or red marks left behind after a cystic acne breakout heals. This is caused by vascular damage and trapped blood beneath the skin. It is treated differently than brown marks (PIH) and responds well to Chemical Peels and gentle Laser Facials.
Most patients find BBL vascular treatments very tolerable. It often feels like a quick, warm rubber band snapping against the skin. Because redness-prone skin is inherently sensitive, we use advanced sapphire cooling tips on our lasers to keep the skin comfortable throughout the procedure.
If your skin stings when you apply basic moisturizers, you likely have a severely compromised skin barrier (often from over-exfoliating or using too much retinol). In this case, you need barrier repair and soothing hydration, not more lasers or peels.
For initial clearance of distinct broken capillaries, it often takes 1 to 3 sessions. For widespread diffuse redness or severe PIE, we typically recommend 3 to 6 sessions spaced a few weeks apart to achieve a consistent, even tone.
