Treatment times range from 30 to 75 minutes; allow 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes for Signature, Signature Plus, Deluxe or Platinum appointments respectively.
Skin Concerns
May improve the appearance of surface congestion, dryness, and dull tone in suitable skin. Persistent acne or pigmentation needs assessment. If you also plan chemical peels, microneedling, or laser treatment, discuss timing and allow the skin to heal between procedures.
Ideal Candidate
Your provider assesses your skin, medical history, allergies, and recent treatments before recommending HydraFacial. The manufacturer lists pregnancy and breastfeeding, active inflammatory acne, sunburn, rashes, open wounds, and skin infections among the reasons not to proceed. Recent isotretinoin use also requires screening. Sensitive skin needs an individual assessment; treatment is not suitable for everyone.
Tier Differences
Signature ($225, 30 min): the core cleanse-exfoliate-extract-hydrate protocol. Signature Plus ($275, 45 min): adds extended manual extractions for congestion-prone skin. Deluxe ($325, 60 min): adds LED light therapy — our most popular tier. Platinum ($399, 75 min): the comprehensive session and the only tier that includes targeted booster serums for concerns such as uneven tone or fine lines.

Oily & Acne-Prone Skin
HydraFacial can help clear surface congestion and excess oil in suitable skin. Active inflammatory acne needs assessment and should not be treated over. Persistent or painful acne may need medical care rather than a facial alone.
Dehydrated Skin & Fine Lines
Hydrating solutions may temporarily soften the appearance of fine surface lines. This is different from correcting deeper wrinkles. Coordinate any chemical peel or microneedling appointments with your clinician.
Hyperpigmentation & Sun Damage
Pigmentation has different causes and may need a diagnosis. The cause and your skin type help determine whether a particular laser treatment or chemical peel is a suitable option.
Pre-Event Skin Prep
Tell your provider the event date and your previous treatment response. Temporary irritation can last up to 72 hours, and a fixed three-day or seven-day gap cannot guarantee your skin will be ready. Allow extra planning for a first treatment and consider postponing if the event is close.

Choosing your facial: a traditional facial may suit a preference for manual techniques or relaxation. At ELLEMES, Deluxe and Platinum HydraFacials include LED light therapy; only Platinum includes targeted booster serums. Your provider can help match a tier to your goals.
What to Expect: The 5-Step Protocol
A structured, multi-step protocol. Treatment takes 30–75 minutes depending on your tier; allow 45–90 minutes for the full appointment, with aftercare tailored to your skin.
Cleanse & Exfoliate
Your provider uses the HydraFacial handpiece to gently resurface the skin, loosening dead cells and debris from the surface. This prepares the pores for deeper cleaning in the next step.
Gentle Acid Peel
An exfoliating solution helps loosen surface debris. Your provider selects the appropriate products after checking your skin and allergies. Tingling or irritation can occur; tell your provider if you feel discomfort.
Extract
The patented vortex suction helps remove blackheads, sebum, and congestion from your pores. This is the step patients find most satisfying — your provider can show you the extraction canister afterward so you can see exactly what came out.
Hydrate & Protect
The handpiece applies hydrating treatment solutions to the skin. Ingredients depend on the selected products. Targeted booster serums are a separate enhancement included only in the Platinum tier.
Optional Add-Ons
Deluxe and Platinum tiers include LED light therapy. Only Platinum adds targeted booster serums selected for your skin concerns, such as uneven tone or fine lines.
Post-Treatment Tips
Avoid heavy makeup for 6–12 hours if possible, apply SPF before going outside, and skip exfoliating acids in your at-home routine for 48 hours. Your provider will give you specific instructions based on your skin and which serums were used. Full guidance on our post-care instructions page.

How Often Should You Get a HydraFacial

A four-week review may be discussed for suitable skin, but it is not a required schedule or a guarantee of breakout prevention. Active inflammatory acne needs separate assessment.
For generally healthy skin staying ahead of dullness and congestion. The most common frequency among our Atlanta patients — especially those also using medical-grade skincare at home.
If you are also considering chemical peels, microneedling, or laser treatment, your clinician should confirm that the skin has healed and that the next procedure is appropriate.
Before an event: discuss the date, skin history, and a recovery buffer with your provider. Previous tolerance does not guarantee the same response next time. Packages are optional; treatment frequency should be based on your assessment and response.
How HydraFacial Works
HydraFacial is a medical-grade treatment that deeply cleanses, extracts, and hydrates the skin using patented vortex technology — all in a single session.
The device helps remove surface impurities while applying hydrating solutions. Skin may look clearer and feel more hydrated after treatment, but results vary. Temporary redness, tightness, or irritation can occur.
