Under-Eye Concerns
Addresses tear-trough hollows, dark circles, crepey under-eye skin, fine lines and wrinkles, a chronically tired appearance, and patients seeking a natural alternative after HA filler complications. PRF EZ Gel is best for patients who want immediate volume correction plus long-term collagen building in one autologous treatment.
Ideal Candidate
Best for patients with moderate to deep under-eye hollows, persistent dark circles, or crepey texture who want a natural alternative to synthetic HA filler — with no risk of the Tyndall effect, migration, or lumps. It’s also a strong choice for patients who previously had filler complications. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an active infection or skin condition in the area, a bleeding disorder, or certain blood conditions. Your provider will assess your candidacy at consultation.
PRP vs. PRF vs. EZ Gel
PRP Undereye ($500/session): liquid platelet-rich plasma that stimulates baseline collagen — best for early aging or mild dark circles. PRF Undereye ($650/session): platelet-rich fibrin spun at a lower speed to retain a fibrin scaffold, releasing growth factors more slowly for smoother, tighter skin. PRF EZ Gel ($900/session): PRF transformed into a thick gel matrix — the most complete option, restoring volume immediately while delivering sustained collagen stimulation.
What PRF EZ Gel Does
For years, the only way to address under-eye hollows was with synthetic hyaluronic acid fillers. Unfortunately, these artificial gels can cause long-term puffiness, migration, or a bluish tint under the thin skin known as the Tyndall effect.
PRF EZ Gel is a natural alternative. We draw a small amount of your blood and spin it to isolate platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). By carefully heating and cooling your natural proteins, we create a smooth gel matrix with no chemical additives.
When injected under the eyes, this bio-stimulating gel acts as an immediate structural filler to lift hollows. Over the following weeks, it slowly releases concentrated growth factors to build fresh collagen, hydrate tissue, and visibly reduce dark circles.
The Benefits
Collagen Production
The natural gel matrix provides a steady, long-term release of growth factors that supports collagen production, helping under-eye skin become thicker and firmer.
Tissue Hydration
PRF EZ Gel hydrates the delicate under-eye tissues, reducing the appearance of dark circles, dryness, and crepey fine lines over time.
Autologous Safety
Made entirely from your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction, rejection, or the overfilled puffiness sometimes seen with traditional HA fillers.
Under-Eye Concerns We Treat
PRF EZ Gel restores volume and stimulates collagen in the delicate under-eye area. Here’s what it addresses.
Dark Circles
Dark circles under the eyes are often caused by thin skin that reveals the underlying blood vessels and muscle, creating a shadowed or discolored appearance. PRF EZ Gel addresses this by thickening the tissue with new collagen and improving local circulation through concentrated growth factors. Over a series of treatments, the under-eye area becomes less translucent and visibly brighter. For pigmentation concerns elsewhere on the face, hyperpigmentation treatments may also help.
Under-Eye Hollows
Tear trough hollows develop when the fat pad beneath the eye thins and the orbital bone becomes more visible, creating a sunken, aged appearance. PRF EZ Gel provides immediate volumizing lift to the tear trough — filling the hollow and softening the shadow — while simultaneously stimulating collagen to sustain the improvement. Unlike synthetic HA fillers, it carries no risk of the Tyndall effect (bluish discoloration) in this delicate area.
Crepey Under-Eye Skin
The skin under the eyes is the thinnest on the body, making it especially prone to developing a papery, crepey texture as collagen breaks down with age. The growth factors in PRF EZ Gel stimulate fibroblast activity to rebuild collagen and elastin fibers, gradually improving skin thickness, firmness, and smoothness. For crepey skin on other areas of the face, microneedling is an effective complementary treatment.
Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Fine lines around the eyes — sometimes called crow’s feet when they extend outward — form as repeated facial expressions break down collagen in the periorbital area. PRF EZ Gel hydrates from within and provides the building blocks for new collagen, softening existing lines and helping prevent new ones from forming. For dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle movement, Botox or Dysport may be recommended alongside PRF.
Tired-Looking Eyes
Looking tired despite adequate sleep is a common concern driven by a combination of volume loss, skin thinning, and poor circulation under the eyes. PRF EZ Gel addresses all three factors simultaneously — restoring volume, rebuilding skin thickness through collagen stimulation, and improving tissue hydration. The result is a rested, refreshed appearance without an overfilled or artificial look.
HA Filler Complications
Some patients seek PRF EZ Gel after experiencing complications from synthetic hyaluronic acid fillers — including puffiness, migration, lumps, or the Tyndall effect (bluish discoloration visible through thin under-eye skin). Because PRF EZ Gel is made entirely from your own blood, it carries none of these risks. It can be a safer alternative for patients who still want under-eye volume correction. For patients looking to dissolve existing HA filler first, consult with our injector about hyaluronidase.
PRF EZ Gel vs. HA Filler
Both restore under-eye volume, but through fundamentally different materials. Understanding the differences can help you choose the approach that fits your goals and risk tolerance.
For patients who want a natural approach with no risk of synthetic filler complications, PRF EZ Gel is the preferred option. Your provider will evaluate your under-eye anatomy and recommend the best approach during your consultation. For patients also considering full-face volume correction, see our dermal filler options.
What to Expect
A PRF EZ Gel session takes approximately 45–60 minutes from blood draw to completion. Here’s what happens at each step.
Blood Draw
A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm — similar to a routine lab draw. This is the starting material for both the PRF component and the albumin gel matrix.
Centrifuge & Gel Creation
Your blood is placed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich fibrin. The plasma is then carefully heated and cooled to create a smooth, injectable gel — the EZ Gel matrix. No synthetic chemicals are added at any point.
Numbing & Preparation
A medical-grade topical numbing cream is applied to the under-eye area while the EZ Gel is being prepared. This ensures a comfortable injection experience, especially in such a sensitive area.
Under-Eye Injections
Your provider injects the PRF EZ Gel into the tear trough and under-eye area using a fine needle or micro-cannula. Placement is precise to restore volume exactly where needed. Most patients describe the sensation as mild pressure.
Recovery & Results
You’ll see an immediate improvement in volume and hollows. Mild swelling or light bruising may occur for 1–3 days. Over the following 4–8 weeks, the growth factors continue working — building collagen, brightening dark circles, and refining results.
Post-Treatment Tips
Avoid touching or rubbing the under-eye area for 24 hours. Skip strenuous exercise, saunas, and alcohol for 48 hours to minimize bruising. Sleep with your head slightly elevated the first night. Do not apply makeup to the injection site until the following day. See our full post-care instructions for detailed guidance.
Treatment Options
Three levels of natural under-eye treatment based on your specific volume and collagen goals. Your provider will recommend the right option.
