Structure That Builds
Why You'll Love It
A calcium hydroxylapatite filler that adds volume now and prompts collagen after.
Collagen Stimulation
CaHA microspheres act as a scaffold for new collagen and elastin production. The gel carrier absorbs over time; the collagen your body builds remains.
Face & Body Applications
Standard concentration for facial contouring (cheeks, jawline, chin) and hand rejuvenation. Hyperdilute form for skin tightening on neck, arms, knees, and buttocks.
Immediate Volume + Long Duration
The gel provides visible lift on the day of treatment. Collagen-building effects develop over weeks and typically last 12 to 18 months.
Two Effects, One Syringe
It fills immediately, then stimulates collagen over the months that follow.
Concerns Radiesse Treats
From facial contouring to body skin tightening, here’s what Radiesse addresses and how it’s used for each.
Mid-Face Volume Loss
As the fat pads in the cheeks thin and descend with age, the mid-face loses its youthful projection and begins to look flat or hollow. Radiesse restores structural volume to the cheeks instantly, while the CaHA microspheres stimulate new collagen production to maintain that lift over the following 12–18 months. For patients who want softer, more subtle cheek enhancement, hyaluronic acid fillers may be recommended instead.
Weak Jawline Definition
A soft or undefined jawline — whether genetic or age-related — can make the lower face appear less structured. Radiesse’s thicker consistency makes it well-suited for jawline contouring, providing a firm, sculpted edge that HA fillers often cannot achieve in this area. The product is placed along the mandibular border and chin to create visible definition. For patients who also have jowling, combining Radiesse with neurotoxins to relax the platysma muscle can further refine the result.
Aging Hands
The hands are among the first areas to show signs of aging — loss of subcutaneous fat makes veins, tendons, and bones increasingly prominent. Radiesse is FDA-approved for hand rejuvenation and is injected beneath the skin to restore volume, smooth the surface, and create a more youthful appearance. Results are immediate and continue to improve as collagen develops over the following weeks.
Crepey Neck & Chest
Diluted Radiesse has a specific FDA-approved use for décolleté wrinkles under its labeled protocol. Neck treatment is a different application and may be off-label. Your provider should explain the exact area, product, protocol, evidence and alternatives before treatment.
Arm & Knee Laxity
Radiesse use for laxity of the arms or knees is off-label. The assessment should address how much change is realistic and the risks of a non-dissolvable filler, rather than promising tightening for every area.
Non-Surgical Butt Lift
Buttock augmentation with Radiesse is not FDA-approved, and the FDA recommends against injectable fillers for buttock enhancement. This is not established as a safe substitute for surgery. Read the safety information on our Liquid BBL page before considering any body-contouring consultation.
Radiesse vs. HA Filler
Both Radiesse and hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers restore facial volume, but they work differently and are suited for different goals. Here’s how they compare.
Many patients benefit from both — Radiesse for structural contouring and HA fillers for lips and fine lines. Your provider will recommend the right combination during your consultation. For under-eye concerns specifically, see our PRF EZ Gel treatment.
What to Expect
A Radiesse appointment runs 45–60 minutes. Most patients return to normal activity the same day.
Consultation & Assessment
Your provider evaluates your anatomy, discusses your goals, and determines whether standard or hyperdilute Radiesse is appropriate. A treatment map is created outlining injection sites and estimated syringe count.
Numbing & Preparation
Topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area. Radiesse also contains lidocaine within the product itself, providing additional comfort during injection. For body areas, ice or vibration may also be used.
Injection Placement
For facial contouring, Radiesse is injected deep along the jawline, cheekbones, or chin using a cannula or needle. For hyperdilute treatments, the diluted product is spread superficially across the neck, arms, or knees. Placement is precise and technique varies by area.
Molding & Massage
After injection, your provider gently massages and molds the product to ensure even distribution and a smooth, natural contour. This step is especially important for jawline and cheek treatments where precise shaping determines the final result.
Results Over Time
You’ll see immediate volume and definition from the gel. Over the following 8–12 weeks, CaHA microspheres stimulate your body’s collagen and elastin production — building on and extending the initial improvement. Results typically last 12–18 months.
Post-Treatment Tips
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and alcohol for 48 hours. Do not massage the treatment area unless instructed by your provider. Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising is normal and typically resolves within 3–5 days. For facial treatments, sleep with your head slightly elevated the first night. See our full post-care instructions for detailed guidance.
Radiesse Cost in Atlanta
Total cost is determined by the number of syringes used. The estimates below are clinical averages by treatment area. Your provider will finalize a plan during consultation.
Per-Syringe Pricing
The actual number of syringes needed varies based on anatomy and desired outcome. A jawline contour typically runs $1,700–$3,400 total (2–4 syringes). A consultation is required to finalize your plan and total cost.

How Many Sessions & How Often
Most facial contouring patients (cheeks, jawline, chin, hands) achieve their desired result in a single session. The immediate volume from the gel is complemented by gradual collagen development over the following 8–12 weeks.
The number and spacing of sessions depend on the actual indication and protocol. A plan for an approved décolleté treatment should not be assumed to apply to off-label neck, arm, knee or buttock use.
After your initial treatment, most patients return once a year to maintain their results. Because Radiesse stimulates lasting collagen, maintenance sessions often require fewer syringes than the original treatment.
Your provider will recommend the exact protocol based on your anatomy, treatment area, and desired outcome. For comprehensive facial rejuvenation, Radiesse is commonly combined with neurotoxins and HA fillers in a single session.
Pairs Well With
Radiesse builds structural volume and collagen. These treatments address complementary concerns.

Neurotoxins
Neurotoxins relax dynamic wrinkles (forehead, crow’s feet) while Radiesse restores volume — commonly combined in a single session.

Dermal Fillers
HA fillers for lips and fine lines complement Radiesse’s structural work on cheeks, jawline, and chin.

PRF Undereye
PRF addresses under-eye dark circles and hollows using your own blood, while Radiesse contours the mid-face and jawline.

Microneedling
Targets surface-level skin texture and tone alongside Radiesse’s deeper structural collagen stimulation.
How Radiesse Works
Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite filler, not HA. Its FDA-approved uses depend on the particular product and treatment area. It cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase, so correction options differ from those for HA filler.
Upon injection, the gel provides immediate structural volume to the jawline, chin, and cheeks. Over the following months, the CaHA microspheres act as a scaffold, stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin before being safely absorbed by the body.
In its hyperdilute form (thinned with saline and lidocaine), Radiesse is used to treat crepey skin, smooth deep wrinkles, and improve skin laxity across the neck, chest, arms, and knees — without adding structural volume.
