How Masseter Botox Works
The masseter is the chewing muscle at the angle of your jaw — clench your teeth and you’ll feel it bulge. In many people (especially clenchers and grinders), this muscle hypertrophies from constant overuse, widening the lower face into a square shape and driving jaw tension, soreness, and tooth wear.
Neurotoxin injected into the muscle belly blocks the nerve signals that keep it overactive.
