Top Benefits
-
Proportion, not puffiness — product is distributed across features in small amounts — the result reads as bone structure, not filler.
-
One mapped session — chin, jaw, cheeks, lips, and temples addressed together so every placement supports the others.
-
Profile-changing results — balancing the chin-to-nose-to-forehead relationship transforms side profiles without surgery.
What It Addresses
A recessed or short chin, soft jawline definition, flat cheeks, volume-hollowed temples, thin lips relative to other features, and the overall front-and-profile proportions between them. It’s the treatment for “something’s off but I can’t name it” — the answer is usually proportion.
Ideal Candidate
Adults who want a noticeable-but-natural improvement in facial harmony — commonly a weak chin/jawline from the side, deflated mid-face, or features that feel mismatched in photos. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain autoimmune and clotting conditions. Significant skin laxity may point toward a combination plan instead.
Products We Use
Proportion, Not Volume
Why You'll Love It
A whole-face filler plan, typically three to five syringes mapped across several areas.
Restores Proportion
Builds projection and structure where your anatomy is recessed — chin, jaw, cheeks — so features read balanced from every angle.
Defines the Profile
The side view is where balancing shines: aligning chin, lips, and nose relationships transforms profiles without touching the nose.
Natural, Rested Finish
Distributed micro-placement avoids the overfilled look — people notice you look great, not that you had filler.
Planned, Not Piecemeal
Areas are mapped together, so nothing gets corrected in isolation.
What We Balance
Every plan is mapped from your assessment photos. These are the zones most balancing plans draw from.
Recessed or Short Chin
The most common driver of facial imbalance — a chin that sits behind the lips makes the nose read larger and the jawline weaker. One to two syringes of structural filler project the chin forward and down, often the single highest-impact change in a profile.
Soft Jawline
Filler placed along the mandibular border creates the light-and-shadow line that reads as definition. Often paired with chin work; for jaw slimming from masseter bulk, masseter Botox addresses the muscle instead of the bone line.
Flat or Deflated Cheeks
Mid-face volume is the scaffolding for everything below it — restoring cheek projection lifts the lower face, softens nasolabial folds, and re-frames the under-eyes. Placement is on the bone, high and lateral, never the “pillow face” front-loading.
Thin Lips (In Proportion)
In a balancing plan, lips are sized relative to the chin and nose — not maximized. Often a half syringe is all a balanced face needs. Full lip artistry lives on our lip injections page.
Hollow Temples
Temple hollowing narrows the upper face and makes cheekbones look bottom-heavy. A syringe per side restores the smooth frame — one of the most overlooked, highest-polish placements in facial balancing.
Profile Concerns
If you avoid side-angle photos, balancing is built for you. Aligning the chin-lip-nose relationship (the aesthetic “profile line”) creates harmony that surgery-averse patients assumed was out of reach. Results are immediate and reversible.
Facial Balancing vs. Single-Area Filler
Same product, different philosophy. Here’s when a mapped multi-area plan beats treating one zone at a time.
Not sure which you need? Start with the mirror test: if one specific thing bothers you, single-area filler on our dermal filler page covers it. If the whole picture feels subtly off, book a balancing consult — the assessment itself is often clarifying.
What to Expect
Facial balancing is a mapped, unhurried appointment — 60–90 minutes from assessment to final photos.
Full-Face Assessment
Front and profile photos, feature-ratio mapping, and an honest conversation about what’s driving the imbalance you see. You’ll agree on the zone plan and syringe count before anything is opened.
Numbing & Product Selection
Topical numbing is applied across treatment zones while your injector selects gels per zone — firm and structural for chin and jaw, soft and flexible for lips and temples.
Mapped Injection
Zones are treated in structural order — typically cheeks first (they lift everything below), then chin and jaw, then refinements. You’ll check the mirror between zones; the plan adjusts in real time to how your tissue responds.
Review & Photos
Results are visible immediately. Comparison photos front and profile document the change — the side-by-side is usually the moment patients understand what proportion does.
Settle & Refine
Swelling resolves and product integrates over two weeks. At your complimentary follow-up, your injector refines any zone that needs a touch — balancing is finished at week two, not on day one.
Post-Treatment Tips
Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and blood thinners for 24–48 hours. Sleep on your back, slightly elevated, for the first two nights, and skip facials, massages, and dental work for 2 weeks. Mild swelling, tenderness, and possible bruising are normal across treated zones for a few days. Full guidance on our post-care instructions page.
Facial Balancing Plans
Syringe-based pricing at $750 per syringe of premium HA filler. Your consultation determines the plan; you approve the count before treatment.
3-Syringe Plan

- 60–90 minute session
- 2–3 zones addressed
- Premium HA products
- 2-week refinement included
4-Syringe Plan
Adds a second supporting zone — commonly cheeks + chin + jawline + lips or temples. The full front-and-profile correction for most faces.
- 3–4 zones addressed
- Front + profile harmony
- Firm + soft gels per zone
- 2-week refinement included
5+ Syringe Custom
For significant volume restoration or combination plans anchored with Sculptra or Radiesse. Mapped and quoted precisely at your consultation.
- Full-face restoration
- May include biostimulators
- Staged if preferred
- Quoted at consult
Good to know
- ✓ Consultations are complimentary — the mapping and syringe count come before any commitment
- ✓ Plans can be staged across two visits if you prefer to build gradually
- ✓ Biostimulator option — Sculptra ($900/vial) can anchor cheeks and temples for longer-horizon collagen volume
All products are premium HA (Juvéderm, Restylane, RHA) unless a biostimulator plan is chosen. Filler zones are reversible with hyaluronidase.
Who Performs This Treatment
Facial balancing at ELLEMES is performed by our registered nurse injector — advanced training in full-face assessment, structural placement, and profile harmonization.
How Many Sessions & How Often
The mapped multi-zone session establishes proportion. Most patients see the full transformation here — refined, not repeated, at the 2-week follow-up.
Chin, jaw, cheek, and temple placements are low-movement and long-lasting. Most balancing patients refresh structural zones every 12–18 months, often with fewer syringes than the original plan.
Lips and other high-movement zones metabolize faster. Quick single-syringe visits keep them in proportion between structural refreshes.
Balancing pairs naturally with Botox & Dysport for expression lines and masseter Botox when jaw width (muscle) rather than jaw line (bone) is part of the picture.
Pairs Well With
These treatments complement each other — combine or alternate them based on your goals and your provider’s plan.

Dermal Filler
Single-area filler for cheeks, chin, jawline, and folds — the building blocks balancing plans are made of.

Lip Injections
Lips sized in proportion to your features — filler, flip, or both.

Sculptra
Collagen-stimulating volume for cheeks and temples — the long-horizon anchor for balancing plans.

Masseter Botox
Slims a wide jaw at the muscle — the complement to jawline filler’s definition.
How Facial Balancing Works
Most filler appointments treat one area in isolation. Facial balancing starts differently: your injector studies your face at rest and in motion, front and profile, and maps how your features relate — chin projection to nose, lip volume to chin, cheek height to jawline. The aesthetic ideals are well-studied ratios, but the plan is always calibrated to your bone structure, not a template.
Product is then distributed strategically: perhaps a syringe building the chin forward, one sharpening the jawline shadow, a half in each cheek, a half refining the lips. Small amounts in many places beat large amounts in one — that’s why balancing looks like good genetics rather than obvious work.
A typical plan uses 3–5+ syringes ($750 each, from $2,250) in a single 60–90 minute session, with results visible immediately and refined at your 2-week follow-up. HA results last 9–18 months depending on zone.
