Radiesse
Injections
FDA-approved CaHA biostimulator. Immediate volume, lasting collagen.

How Radiesse Works
Radiesse is not a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. It is an FDA-approved biostimulator made of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier.
Upon injection, the gel provides immediate structural volume to the jawline, chin, and cheeks. Over the following months, the CaHA microspheres act as a scaffold, stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin before being safely absorbed by the body.
In its hyperdilute form (thinned with saline and lidocaine), Radiesse is used to treat crepey skin, smooth deep wrinkles, and improve skin laxity across the neck, chest, arms, and knees — without adding structural volume.
The Benefits

Collagen Stimulation
CaHA microspheres act as a scaffold for new collagen and elastin production. The gel carrier absorbs over time; the collagen your body builds remains.

Face and Body Applications
Standard concentration for facial contouring (cheeks, jawline, chin) and hand rejuvenation. Hyperdilute form for skin tightening on neck, arms, knees, and buttocks.

Immediate Volume + Long Duration
The gel provides visible lift on the day of treatment. Collagen-building effects develop over weeks and typically last 12 to 18 months.
Concerns Radiesse Treats
As the fat pads in the cheeks thin and descend with age, the mid-face loses its youthful projection and begins to look flat or hollow. Radiesse restores structural volume to the cheeks instantly, while the CaHA microspheres stimulate new collagen production to maintain that lift over the following 12–18 months. For patients who want softer, more subtle cheek enhancement, hyaluronic acid fillers may be recommended instead.
A soft or undefined jawline — whether genetic or age-related — can make the lower face appear less structured. Radiesse's thicker consistency makes it well-suited for jawline contouring, providing a firm, sculpted edge that HA fillers often cannot achieve in this area. The product is placed along the mandibular border and chin to create visible definition. For patients who also have jowling, combining Radiesse with Botox or Dysport to relax the platysma muscle can further refine the result.
The hands are among the first areas to show signs of aging — loss of subcutaneous fat makes veins, tendons, and bones increasingly prominent. Radiesse is FDA-approved for hand rejuvenation and is injected beneath the skin to restore volume, smooth the surface, and create a more youthful appearance. Results are immediate and continue to improve as collagen develops over the following weeks.
The neck and décolletage are prone to developing thin, crepey skin as collagen and elastin break down. Hyperdilute Radiesse — thinned with saline and lidocaine — is spread across these areas to stimulate widespread collagen renewal without adding volume. Over a series of sessions, skin becomes firmer and smoother. For surface-level texture improvement, microneedling can complement hyperdilute Radiesse effectively.
Loose, crepey skin on the upper arms and above the knees is a common concern that doesn't respond well to topical products. Hyperdilute Radiesse is injected superficially across these areas to trigger collagen and elastin production from within, gradually improving skin firmness and smoothness. This is a non-surgical approach to skin tightening in areas that are difficult to treat otherwise.
Radiesse can be used as a "Liquid BBL" — adding subtle volume and improving skin quality in the buttocks without surgery, anesthesia, or significant downtime. Multiple syringes are placed strategically to lift and contour the buttocks while CaHA microspheres stimulate long-term collagen production. This is a gradual, natural-looking alternative to surgical fat transfer for patients who want modest enhancement.
What to Expect
Post-Treatment Tips
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and alcohol for 48 hours. Do not massage the treatment area unless instructed by your provider. Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising is normal and typically resolves within 3–5 days. For facial treatments, sleep with your head slightly elevated the first night. See our full post-care instructions for detailed guidance.
Treatment Estimates
Total cost is determined by the number of syringes used. Below are average syringe estimates by treatment area. Your provider will finalize a plan during consultation.
The actual number of syringes needed varies based on anatomy and desired outcome. A consultation is required to finalize your treatment plan and total cost.

How Many Sessions & How Often
Your provider will recommend the exact protocol based on your anatomy, treatment area, and desired outcome. For comprehensive facial rejuvenation, Radiesse is commonly combined with Botox or Dysport and HA fillers in a single session.
Radiesse vs. HA Filler
Both Radiesse and hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers restore facial volume, but they work differently and are suited for different goals. Here's how they compare.
Many patients benefit from both — Radiesse for structural contouring and HA fillers for lips and fine lines. Your provider will recommend the right combination during your consultation. For under-eye concerns specifically, see our PRF EZ Gel treatment.

What to know before booking Radiesse at ELLEMES.
Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) based filler. The gel provides immediate structural lift and volume. Over time, the gel absorbs while the CaHA microspheres act as a scaffold, stimulating your body's collagen and elastin production for firmer, thicker skin.
The Radiesse gel is thinned with sterile saline and lidocaine, creating a wash that spreads across larger areas without building structural volume. This formulation is used for treating skin laxity and crepey skin on the neck, chest, arms, and knees.
Standard concentration is used for facial contouring (cheeks, chin, jawline), hand rejuvenation, and non-surgical butt lifts. The hyperdilute version is used for skin tightening on the neck, arms, and knees.
You will see immediate lift from the gel. As your body builds new collagen tissue over the following weeks, results typically last 12 to 18 months or longer depending on the treatment area.
Syringe count depends on the treatment area and your anatomy. A jawline contour typically requires 2–4 syringes; hands usually require 1–2. A Liquid BBL can require 4 to 10+ syringes. Your provider will map out a plan during consultation.
Radiesse is FDA-approved with a long clinical track record. Common side effects include temporary swelling, minor bruising, or redness at the injection site, which usually resolve within a few days.
Yes. Radiesse is frequently combined with Botox or Dysport (to relax dynamic wrinkles while Radiesse builds volume) or with PRF for cellular regeneration. Your provider can combine therapies based on your goals.
To reduce bruising risk, avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) and alcohol for a few days prior to your appointment.
